Rendezvous Farm grows a wide variety of produce from our two 1,000 sq. ft. gardens and two small orchards, mostly for personal use. Excess is sold from the farm or at the Shenandoah Valley Produce Auction. Our produce includes a wide variety of herbs, strawberries, blueberries, apples, peaches, plums, pears, cherries, rhubarb, tomatoes, sweet peppers, green beans, peas, beets, carrots, lettuce, spinach, zucchini, crookneck and straight-neck squash, butternut squash, pumpkins, watermelon, potatoes, sweet potatoes and cucumbers to name a few. Each year we experiment with a few new varieties and species.
We also grow a lot of our produce as special treats for our horses and free-range pastured chickens. Chickens love squash seeds and pumpkin seeds serve as a natural wormer for our birds. And what horse doesn’t love a fresh crunchy carrot or apple after a ride on our many trails.
