Rendezvous Farm is a small 16 acre hobby farm where we raise free-range chicken and eggs, Cornish game hens, two varieties of quail & quail eggs, rabbits, Shelties, Ring-Neck Tangerine doves and some produce in season.
We are not “officially” certified as organic but we strive to raise everything here in an organic manner. Our animals are raised without the use of hormones, steroids or antibiotics. Our land, gardens and orchards do not receive chemical fertilizers and are not sprayed with herbicides or pesticides.
Rendezvous Farm is approved by the Virginia Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services as a poultry processing facility, allowing our products to be purchased by retail stores and restaurants. Currently our products are sold from the farm as well as the Bryce, Woodstock and Plains Farmer’s Markets.
On this woodland acreage bordering the George Washington National Forest on two sides, only about 2 acres were cleared for a horse pasture and another acre for a home and outbuildings. An additional acre was cleared of scrub trees and replanted to improve wildlife habitat. A small run-off pond was dug for wildlife and stocked with bluegills, smallmouth bass and a catfish. The property is certified by the Virginia Department of Game and Inland Fisheries as a Habitat Partners Wildlife Habitat.
